Moving to France

Making the move to Sciences Po is a big one, regardless of where you live! All students should consult Sciences Po’s Guide for International Students, a very important resource which includes information on:

  • First steps
  • Administrative documents required to get set up in France
  • Arriving in France
  • When to arrive
  • Welcome and orientation programs
  • Setting up a bank account
  • Phone and internet

Once you are admitted to the UBC Sciences Po Dual Degree program, you are considered a student of both institutions at the same time. During your first two years, you will follow all Sciences Po administrative processes and requirements, so it is important for you to familiarize yourself with the Sciences Po website.

Prior to the official start of the school year, all new undergraduate first-year students are required to attend their regional campus’ orientation program. The orientations at the Le Havre, Reims, and Menton campuses are usually one week in duration, and takes place before the beginning of classes. All students receive detailed information about the program from their academic advisors.
